While the scene has changed keys, the drummer’s heart beats the same as it did all those years ago — a time signature marking Cai Gray’s relationship with music. His passion for percussion led him to pick up his first set of drums in middle school, earn a place in his high school’s marching band, and challenge his craft throughout college. Today, Gray faces the world as a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist whose music carries an unforgettable sound both in the studio and on stage. Following in the footsteps of musicians before him, Gray has launched his career with resonant live performances of tracks from his freshman album, The Overgrown. He sways between cinematic and acoustic rhythms, inspired by contemporary alternative, indie, and folk-pop influences paired with Broadway-esque vocals and unflinching lyricism.
